How are images best sized?

Hello all,

Sorry for my ignorance on this subject, but what are best practices to properly size uploaded images so they scale nicely within thread texts?

My images and sometimes other folks too seem hugely out of scale. Then the text next to them makes a scrolling chore to read.

I'd like to know how to insert images between paragraphs and such. I only seen to be able to insert them at the end of a post on mobile

Hehe you got one more step to do, click down again on the drop down arrow.. you'll see
