Bluetooth Retrofit

Evening all,

My E92 came with SA 640 Telephone Preparation and I'm wondering what hardware is required to get bluetooth. I would also be interested in getting a Combox so if anyone has been down this road before, your advice be appreciated.

My system is CIC, has Professional Nav (SA 609) but no voice control or USB interface. I've seen loads of threads but they all seem to be from the US and refer to a TCU.

Any ideas guys?

Yes so the TCU module is what the Bluetooth antenna connects to. That's just internationally how it's handled. Combox replaces the TCU (and/or MULF2) so you might as well go for the Combox.

So install combox (need adapter harness), install a Bluetooth antenna (just plug in), code both of them and adjust any Vehicle Order values you need to. Then use FSC Tool to load the voice assist FSC activation code onto your CIC unit (via OBD port).

Make sure you get the correct one for a e series, as the f series one will not work.
