E91 328i Thumping Sound

I noticed, when I turn off the radio and AC (so the car is quiet inside). I can hear a slight thumping sound when I am coasting. The sound happens regardless of the road condition and only occurs when I am not accelerating. The sound persists when I am braking and I checked to make sure I didn't have a stuck caliper with an Infrared thermometer. My tires are less than 3 years old and are the proper pressure. Not really sure what the issue might be, as I cant hear it outside the car with the windows open, just when they are closed and the car is quiet.

First thing I'd check is the guibo to see if it's cracked and coming apart (this is the rubber flex disk between the driveshaft and the transmission for which BMW apparently has a unique naming convention).

And don't delay! Letting the guibo or the center carrier bearing on a shaft be bad wrecks the u joint, so it just gets more expensive down the line

Update:

Turns out the clank I heard when I turned on the car was a loose heat shield in the back. Fixed that and that sound is gone.
