2011 e90 n55 hpfp replacement question

I have a 2011 335i e90 n55 AT with 125k miles and bone stock. I have been having the dreaded long cold starts and also an inconsistent idle when coming to a stop. While researching the HPFP I saw that ECS tuning has a HPFP replacement with a newer model bosch and all you have to do is replace the connector and the pump.

I found a thread DIY about this replacement, but the post said that it will only work on 2012's and later, however ECS tuning states that it does in fact fit my car.

Has anyone with a 2011 n55 done this replacement or know if it does actually fit from personal experience? I would hate to rip the car apart to find out that it does not fit or buy the $800 oem replacement if I don't have to. Thanks.
