Took me 14 months of near daily searching to find my last car and my only criteria on that search was 330D E92 M Sport with manual gearbox on a 12/62/13 plate, manual 330 cars aren't that common even on earlier plates. Keep looking though or may need to compromise on budget/mileage, I refused to compromise on gearbox (auto was just too boring) but that would increase your options if you sacrifice some driving enjoyment...

Yeah it took me a good while to find my LCI 330D manual, I had been looking for nearly a year before I was in a position to actually buy a car and in that time I saw but a handful, all of which were either pre-LCI or hadn't been looked after.... My only criteria was LCI N57, manual, sport pack and a dark colour.

I got lucky when the time came to buy though, a chap not far from me had busted his left knee and was regrettably selling his well looked after manual LCI Space Grey M-Sport.... Suffice to say I snapped that up pretty quick

Just to add - If you're looking at LCI (N57) 330D's then also look at the N57 based 325D.... It is exactly the same car as the 330D except detuned via software and can be mapped to over 300 bhp just the same. There is no difference in the hardware unlike the older M57's.

I would say that condition and spec are more important - Look at the spec - the 335D cars are a higher spec (as standard) than 330D's

but you are really limiting your options if you want a manual gearbox

been keeping an eye on prices as looking to sell mine before xmas think you will need
8-10K for a decent spec LCI 330d/335d

It took me ages to find mine!

Glad you like it but just not for me and I'm not alone, I'd take a 116D with manual box over anything with an auto box in it! A manual coupe 330 Diesel is certainly more 'exciting & enjoyable' than an auto coupe 330 Diesel though which is really the comparison to be making here.

I guess imprezaworks feels the same if he put three stars after it in the required spec list! Looking on autotrader now there's more manual 330D's for sale than there was when I was selling mine, if not looked recently might be worth another look there although most have high miles as you'd expect...

Yeah, I suspect an auto in a 330d wouldn't be that great.

Not really an ideal comparison but my company 6 speed diesel Navara is more entertaining to drive than the auto diesel discovery that I'm getting next week to replace the Nav.

Anyone looking to sell?

Have altered my search for either a 325d lci or 330d, has to be manual.

Dismissing the petrol

Convert it to manual then simpler than you may think. Me and my mate have done our cars.

Hold out for a manual, then if it’s not been mapped get it done! If you’ve not driven one you’ll be surprised! I certainly was when I got mine and over 2 years on it still surprises me just how quick it gets down the road. I really want an E46 M3 and keep thinking about selling mine but I just can’t justify the extra purchase cost for a lower spec car that in day to day driving is no faster.
I know some on here (chappers 71) 😂 that think diesels shouldn’t be in coupes. I see where he’s coming from but the BMW 6 pot is a very different diesel, so much more refined than the 4 pots.
Hold out for one, they are out there.

Thanks. The last one appeals but sadly out of budget. Beginning to think I may not find what I'm after
