if you like it, go ahead. it's your car.
just remember the 1series has really high offsets so you'll probably need spacers.

Spacers and handling
Thanks for the input. Will having to use these spacers affect the cars performance, handling, etc? One more question, where can I get these spacers?

and don't forget to get the extended bolts!!!! important, the stock bolts will be too short for any spacers (may be with the exception of 3mm or less) too short of a bolt will not be able to hold the wheels tight enough and may fly off when you are driving |

You'll definitely need spacers to push them clear of your suspension. Spacers are definitely safe just as long as they're installed properly and you go with a reputable brand.

Tires
I called the BMW stealership and their tire guy told me that these wheels would look too small and make the car look funny. Is this true? the 135i wheels are 18" staggered 7.5 fronts and 8.5 rears.

^ I put 18" style 67s on my e90 335i. some say it looks too small. but I went from 17" to 18" i'd hate to see what they would've said about the 17's. With a slight suspension drop I think it would look fine. Then again its your car. |

The 7.5" width on the front may be too narrow...I have 18x8 and 18x9 on both my wife's 128i and my 335i (stock on 335i w/sport is 18x8 F and 18x8.5 R). You won't be able to use a tire much wider than 225 if you go with a 7.5" wheel on the front.
