What upgraded twins do you guys recommend for higher HP?
As the title says. I'm leaning towards the Hydra HP800 V2s which the spool time is comparable to the HP650s now. Kinda wanted to stay away from the chinese 17t and 19ts. The dynamic autowerx high flows had me interested, but what are your thoughts? I might go single eventually, but just curious on what you guys think? I don't have an e90 btw. I have an e89 Z4 w/ N54, so my main issue is getting the LPFPs replaced as they're much harder to get to than the e90s. Might pay PSI to do that for me.
Thanks for your time and look forward to a response, Brandon EDIT: I had a single 6466 e90 in the past, so I definitely know what I'm doing. Just never had upgraded twins before and don't know which route is the best to go for em. I've seen multiple discussions about this, but I thought I'd create my own thread to see what other people think. Last edited by Bmurata90; 02-04-2024 at 06:42 AM.. |

i recommend Pure Turbo, they are the most proven and tested + it comes with excellent support and warranty from the manufacturer.

Omar at Hydra Performance is the only Twins manufacture I would buy from for the N54. I have a set of his HP650s and they have amazing Performance. If you already know about his HP800 Gen 2 I assume you know all about the tech he puts into his turbo. I'm in the process of buying another set of this time HP800s Gen 2 for my other car. Never heard an issue of them on the forums or groups at all. Can't go wrong it's Hydra or an ST Kit.

RB - reasonably priced, super nice guy, supporting a small business, and they've been proven
Pure - larger company with a great rep Hydra - been out the least amount of time but actually a good product unlike DAW, Franken, and all the idiots out there selling rebranded chinese junk turbos |

Hydra HP800 V2s w/ N53 head or ST 6466. Edit: or RB if you don't want to go all out on the Hydras. Everyone else sucks. VTT DAW etc. all dumpster fires of companies.

My car was running 10's in the 1/4 with nothing but boltons, RB 2 turbos, and a good E40 tune.......with standard street tires and a soft 2nd gear launch.
