Thats a good question. Is your car modded otherwise. The reason I ask is that the PBX on map0 is invisible to any diagnostic scan. The only way BMW can find it is if they open up the ECU and look for it. If your cat is stock otherwise there is no reason for them to look. Even if you are modded they wouldn't look IMO but the risk goes up a little.

Guys, I've just purchased PBX, thanks to Mike. So I will try to install it ASAP. (Tax just pissed me off). So wish me luck, no update on alarm, not activated yet, just flashing. Good for now. I hope PBX will be what I expect.

Just put in the FOB, press the ignition key (lights on dash but engine not running) hold down the gas pedal for 4+ seconds, release and then start the car. That is map 0.

I'm enjoying mine. I can feel it in 1-2 gear especially with map 3. Thanks!

Glad you're enjoying it

Like I mentioned many times the PBX is really the best mod for the money for these cars. No other mod will transform the car the way the PBX does!

I have a love hate relationship with my PBX. I love how much more fun it is to drive. I hate that I have to buy gas so much more often My only real wish is that there was something between Map 2 and 3. For DD I wish there was something in the middle-75% maybe?

just bought one 2 days ago. very excited to installa nd try it out. i have supersprint full cat w/ haman quads, gruppe m intake and mfd scoops. i was wondering, how do you tell which map you're in. i know you can reset and always get it to 0, but how can you tell which map you're in after tapping the pedal? does it show up on the dash?

well if you want to be sure just hold the gas pedal all the way down for 4+ seconds and you will be set to map 0. after that push the pedal all the way down and let go you will be at map 1. want map 2, push it again and let go, 3 do the same etc. once u get to the map number u want start the car.

Your website says that this works for all US and Canadian cars but dosen't list the 323i. However Mr.&Mrs323i, who appear to be driving a 323i, are talking this thing up. I wanted to confirm that this is compatible with my car.
