I've done that that already with the old firmware
But IMO, Map 3 on this new firmware isn't any different then the old, I'm actually kind of disappointed with it... But maybe its just because the new Map 5 is so freaking awesome! I feel the new Map 5 is just as powerful as Map 3 with meth, and it seems to have a much better torque curve, the power is soooo smooth though out the whole RPM range, and it just pulls hard!! Now if we could just add meth with some extra boost to Map 5, I'd be in heaven!!

Wish it ran better in my car, to run it on stock hardware you really need to have LPFP, HPFP and injectors all running at 100%. Maybe if the interest keeps up, we'll get someone to make upgrades to the fuel system to run 100% e85. |

Just added 2 gallons to my half tank of 93 octane and my car scared me for the first time. I had my laptop in the trunk but the boost gauge looked to be hitting past the 75% fuel area on the way to redline so thinking I'm hitting 17 psi. The station is right near my house also.

Get an ic first. Also dont get crazy about running to much e85. You will still need meth injection to run big numbers with a piggyback

Sure about that? Define big numbers and please show a flash piggieback gap. Not saying it isn't there, but I haven't seen it. My friends run JB, Cobb, and the 'cede and I've I haven't seen that gap. With a given boost, AFR, and timing, the numbers will be comparable (haven't seen any evidence Vanos tuning nets material gain).

never made it, had to cancel i had a dead battery this morning.
i installed the latest firmware first thing this morning and was going to send some logs to Terry before the session. however, i left my key in the ignition (without anything on) and ended up with a dead battery somehow. probably a good omen, as i should probably wait until the latest firmware is completely ironed out anyway Last edited by rdub315; 05-12-2012 at 09:30 PM.. |
