Today I tried to change my halo bulbs to led's, of course I went to lux and bought the lux lci V3 (https://www.luxangeleyes.com/collect...lci-halogen-v3). So as I was about to install them they wouldn't seem to fit. I have halogens not xenons so I don't know if I bought the wrong ones? Here is a picture of where I was trying to fit the lux led's in.

My mother has a 2011 328i xdrive sedan. Her driver side angel eyes stopped working so my father tried to change it. It kicked was kicking his ass, so he brought it to my house. It's a very strange bulb. The bmw dealership gave him a bulb to swap in, but it was no where near close to what type of bulb is needed. So I took the bad bulb out and sent him back to the dealership. It took 4 parts guys and hour and half to find the correct bulb on the shelves. All of them said they had never seen a bulb like it. The only good thing about this set up is that both halos get the same amount of light so they both illuminate to the same brightness, unlike mine in my 2009.

Halogen models use a funny looking bulb for the angels. The xenon models use a standard H8 bulb for the angels. You got the wrong bulb, I think all LUX angel eyes are for Xenon models.

I have the same headlamps as you but the white plastic piece that surrounds the AE tubes one present. Maybe try removing those and then it may fit.

^ this
Pre-LCI: Proprietary bulb. P/N 63117161444.

LCI: Standard H8

Halogen (all): Proprietary bulb. 63112179077 (Valeo). Pre-LCI halogen cars may have the ZKW bulb (same P/N as pre-LCI above)

Your car has this:

It also appears you left the basket/housing in the socket. See pics at link above and you'll know what I mean.
