navandtv2go install question

i was wondering how the guys that installed this mod; got the black thick LCD wire untucked from behind the odemeter. i have posted 2 pictures to show you what im talking about.

here is the black thick LCD wire that is connected behind the screen. usually you can get it out to get more line and slack by pushing it out behind the odemeter side. the problem is that on the odemeter side for the e92 there is a vent tunnel blocking the way to get to the black wire. here is the pic of it:

i have installed these on e90s before and that vent is not there to block it like it is on the e92. i need to get more slack on the LCD wire to connect it to the nav module close to the passenger footwell. please let me know how you guys got more slack for it.

yea it should work without an issue, but you need to switch connections. we will hopefully confirm for sure that it will work on kiddo's car this weekend. we are going to try to attempt the install again. we just need to get more slack from that black LCD cable to finish the job. so hopefully someone can help us out with what to do.

unplug your ipod from the 6fl and plug it into the ipod adapter/connector for the navandtv2go module. you will be able to listen and view your albums fine with 6fl seperately, but you need to switch connections to be able to view video off of your video ipod.

kiddo came over again this past weekend and we tried the install again, but no luck. we ended up just installing his hid fogs and some other lights. we took the radio out to try to pull the wire, but still couldnt do it. kiddo pm'ed longtran for some help; so we will try what he said next time kiddo comes over. ive done this install on e90s before, but not e92s. the black wire is easier to get to on e90s than e92s. this is the only part stopping us from getting this install done.

In theory could you have one ipod hooked up to the 6fl and another video ipod connected to navandtv2go? This way you would not have to change connections right? Does the navandtv2go power the ipod?

yes that will work. as far as the navandtv2go powering the ipod, it would depend on the type of connection you purchase. the unit only has av connections. you would have to purchase something like this:

i have this exact one that i purchased on ebay. there are similar items like this that would work also.
