Weird Idle - Not Spark Plugs

Hi All,

I've had my 335 since September last year and love it. Recently replaced the spark plugs because I noticed it wasn't idling as well after the tune. (JB4 and DP) After the new Bosh plugs, it still seems to idle in and out. The RPMs appear to be stable, but the engine itself sort of hums up and down. It This happens in Map 4 and also Map 5. Seems to happen in general with and without the AC on. Also if in Map 0, it does it much more.

I know these cars don't like the heat and being in southern Florida doesn't help. But this happens at all times, even at night when it's cooler. I just hit 20k miles. Any help would be great!

Also, I tried to attach the video through Photobucket but it doesn't seem to work. It's <30 seconds. Any tips on how to upload so you all can help me?

I feel skeptical about that stuff, you'd say it will work even if I only have 20k?

Here is the link. You have to listen closely.

Weird idle culprits - > Spark Plugs, Coils, Dirty Valves (when was your last walnut blast?), Injectors. I'd eliminate those as possible causes first.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

- How much is a software update from the dealer and it's ok to go there and get it even with my JB4?

- What's the best route for detergent gas / cleaner?

- I doubt I have dirty valves or need a new coil given my low mileage, but I could be mistaken

Also as a side note, I noticed that when in map 5, it seems to idle better than in 4. Some slight RPM jumping in 4 or just seems more rough. And way better than in 0. I will keep it in 5 more often, but weird I get the idle issues with lower maps.

Which firmware are you using on the JB4? Might want to update it if you haven't already. If you get the flex fuel wires, you can alter the fueling parameters to smooth out idle a bit.

I'm not exactly sure since I bought it used off someone. How can I check or update it?
