Question about tire size and lowering

Hey guys I Have a 2007 BMW 335i not sport package that is lowered with H&R touring kit. I need new tires and was wondering if 225/50/17 would rub. For whatever reason I bought the car from a dealer and they had put on 205/50/17. I am just trying to figure out what tire size I need that won't rub since my car is lowered.

225/45R17 is what you want. They won't rub (or shouldn't), as they are an OEM/standard size.
