Bump Stop and Strut Mount options
I'm refreshing the suspension on an E93 I just bought and likely going with Bilstein B4. It's a 335i with sport suspension. I know the bump stops play a critical part of the suspension on these cars so I'm looking for some inputs on what brand is good or any other recommendations.
One of the parts retailers I'm ordering from only has Febi Bilstein bump stops for sport suspension. Are these good to use on the E9x? I'm also looking for ideas about what strut mounts to use. Last I did the strut mounts on my 330i they were Lemforder with the cracked bearing race and the little note in the box saying 'dont worry this is normal.' Do the E30 mounts fit and lower the front slightly? I don't mind a slight drop. Last edited by lowrydr310; 05-09-2023 at 09:06 AM.. |

The Febi bumpstops are fine, just make sure it's the correct part number as there are a few different lengths.
e30 upper perches will raise the height a bit, giving you more travel. e90 xdrive mounts will lower the front about 10mm without affecting travel. |

Thanks for the quick reply. Done deal, ordered Rein bump stops be cause they were in stock (Febi had a long lead time and I want to get this job done) and stuck with the standard Lemforder strut mounts. I wouldn't mind a slight drop in the front but it's all good.
