Questions and issues with replacement seats on my e90.

I switch out my original grey seats from my e90 2006 330i for the same type of seats except the have the active headrest that I don't care for. The passenger seat just needed a pin changed on the connector for the airbag/seat/seatbelt. But the driver seat is having an issue. It lets me adjust the backseat, and the height. But it won't go forward or backwards. When you click on the forward and backward the module makes a clicking noise. I even switch the motor out with the old seat that was working and the unit still clicks back with the old seats.

1. Is the module out? I already ordered a replacement one through ebay.
2. Why does the unit only click when I move the seat back and forth and not with the backrest, or the height adjustments.
3. Is there a way to solve this without getting a new unit?

Do you have access to INPA? You should be able to read live data & see what the switches are reporting.
