Filtered Air Pipe - small pipe cracked

Hi all, I have a 2016 X5 with the N57 diesel engine. While doing a valve cover replacement, I noticed a smaller line coming off the filtered air pipe cracked and needs to be replaced or repaired. It's the line I have my finger on in the picture. Also included a diagram which shows the line bit the item number is greyed out like you have to buy the whole assembly rather than just the small line. Is that true? If so, are there any crafty DIY repair tips that could be made that would keep me from buying the whole assembly?

I don't see a picture.
By chance are you referring to the corrugated pipe used to tie in the CCV?
If that is the case, it is not uncommon for the OEM version to get brittle from the heat. TuneMyEuro sells a more heat tolerant hose which can be used to replace it.
I assume that another option would be to just use a straight piece of 1" oil resistant hose and some hose clamps.
