WTB: 19" or 18" OEM m3 rim & tire package

Looking to pick up a set of OEM e46 m3 rims. Hoping to find a set of 19's with tires but also maybe willing to go with 18's if the price is right! If anyone knows where I can find a set or if anyone has a set, let me know! I've just been looking through craigslist for a local set...

I'd drop it regardless ... Just changes the whole car.

I know nothing about suspension... but isn't it pretty pricey to do a drop on an xi?

i'm local and might have these tires. i don't know the style number for my rims, i bought them used w/a set of winters on them. i just took them off this weekend. wish i could have kept them on, i like them much more than my stock summer junk & i hate the rft's, but the rft's have almost no miles on them so i'm "forced" to use them up!
my set is 18's & not staggered. i might consider selling, but i'd rather work out a trade for another set.

$1k for coilovers + install, ~$500 I'd say. so out the door $1500 or so. not too bad and well worth it.

Is there a cheaper way of doing a drop with out ruining the car? I know new springs is an option but everyone seems to say its a bad idea..

I chose to use stock shocks and aftermarket springs on my old Integra and G35 coupe and it just kept on bottoming out and I wasn't even dropped that low. I purchased a new shock and springs for my old TSX and that thing was awesome.

For a nice cars like what we have...I say just save up and purchase some Bilstein shocks and H&R springs for like $900 and then get it installed by the local guy on this New England forum for $150. So $1050 for everything.

Sorry I really know absolutely nothing it comes to suspension. Why use shocks and springs instead of coilovers?

when it comes to suspensions. You should decide if you want it just for looks or for performance. Then you can go from there. Depending on when and what you want installed, I can help ya out.

Looks more than performance but I also don't want to put complete crap on the car that could cause me problems later on.

do you have sport suspension on your car? If not you could buy a set of BMW sport springs.
