Is the N55 ECU box still temperature controlled (i.e. does it have a fan) given the fact that it's empty ? If yes, I think you should highly recommend installing the JB in that compartment...

Is the new board getting away with the 02 down pipe fix currently needed for theJ B3?

Actually RPM is mass-airflow represented in hertz sampled from the sensor.

I don't know what the plans for N55 down-pipe support are but I imagine it will be built in to Stage2+.

Just a little update, there are 10 N55 JB3 Stage-1s out in the field now undergoing various types of testing. Assuming all goes well it won't be long now. They have 100 systems in stock and ready to go once the firmware is finalized.

Sounds great, has a price point been established on these yet?

I would love to test one of these baby's out on my X5, and hopefully compare it to the V4 (once they come out with the firmware/harness).

I was in your neck of the woods the other week. Would have been awesome to test it on my 4400 mile road trip

I believe retail is set at $379 for the Stage 1. And then users will be able to upgrade to Stage2+ by paying the difference when its full developed/release.

Any added benefits with a muffler delete? Thinking of putting the muffler back on but I may wait till this is released...

A few guys run the muffler delete on the N54s and seem happy with it.

I was very happy with my N54 muffler delete. When I get the N55 I will also be doing the same to this one. cheap, great quality depending on the shop and GREAT sound specially with some nice downpipes.

Is it not officially supported outside of the ECU because of heat? Or what? If it's really this easy to install and uninstall, I'll buy a few of them and just replace them as they go bad. I'm all about time. And currently, it takes me over an hour to do a JB3 install - mainly because I have trouble once inside the ECU. B.S. I don't need to deal with...

Interested to see how stage 2 turns out. I have a feeling I will have one of the very first cat less down pipe N55s out there, but nothing to stop the cel from coming on..

That won't be a problem at all. BMS CAN tool takes care of the CEL and will also be built in to the higher stages. The N55 CAN tool is already in testing and will be released the same time as the Stage1 tuning.
