You may be correct but retrofitting CIC is not that easy.
Try it, but you will require few codes to activate your CIC unless you are going for after market solution.

I'm looking at the hardware activation solution with the CAN filter. I've weighed up the pros and cons and I don't think there's a big disadvantage to the hardware solution - yes, it's not as BMW would do it, but nor is fitting a CIC to a 2007 car, so I don't see the harm. Now I just need to work out how the coding works (where I think it's just a case of changing the build date and adding a couple of options to the vehicle order in CAS and NFRM then recoding CIC, but I'm not certain).

Let us know how you get on. As this is one of the things on my wish list, though I may hardly ever use it.

Which year car is it? I can do it all for you if you not patient and persistent enough to learn yourself.

I can code in and around West London area, I can come to east London if worth coming. I can also cover Berkshire region.

All I have at the moment is decent OBD II cable which can code all E6xx and obviously the know how for most of the retrofits. If there is enough interest I can offer CIC upgrade service too, but the equipment is very pricey so I am not spending a grand or so just for my own upgrade. At the moment upgrading CIC is not easy thing to do unless you have know how and the right equipment. Needs ICOM/OPS/OPPS + very stable power supply. If a few people agree to get this done I will buy them and should be ready to do it by mid next month.

PM me if interested.

Anyone able to Code my ProNav audio to HiFi? Just did Alpine install and it doesn't sound quite right, it's a 08 car but I think BMW did a full update when injectors were replaced by the last owner.

I'm based in Leicester but can travel abit, obviously will give financial compensation for people's time

Hi Makkan, can't seem to reply to your message, says your inbox is full, do you have a email / number I could catch you on? I am still very interested in getting this warning coded out.

Thanks , Matt

Coding-South London and Surrey

Hey guys, I can code South West London and Surrey areas. I have so far done Fogs lights for opening/closing, 'chirps' for lock/unlock or either, and LED retrofit. Other things such as seatbelt warnings, ignition warnings (annoying!) I have been able to do. I have not yet looked into NAV/Hifi or PWM lighting coding, but hopefully in the very near future I will be able to look do this

I'm located in Sutton in Surrey, not far from Kingston either.

Yep really good option to have on, one other one I have (which I am not sure if most have this enabled anyway but mine didn't) was BFD-Brake force display, so when a higher level of braking is applied the rear fogs come on!

Quite decent!

Vendors

here are these in Surrey

3- Surrey and surroundings =
B- AVC Uk Website (submitted by Hotcoupe)
C- Stourbridge Automotive LTD. Website (submitted by Billyray911)

Cannot comment on these how much would they charge.

And if you are after forum members, then its meshyo. Worth of asking him if he can code 6 series.

HTH.

Can't do that, as you should have 10+ postings to enable that.
