E70 (X5) OFHG replacement help

I have a 2008 X5 3.0 with 107K miles. I need someone to change the OFHG and cooler gasket. It is similar to E90 OFHG but needs tools and skills beyond me so I am looking for someone with experience who can do it for me. Of course, I will pay - quote your price. I am in Bellevue you can come here to do it or i can come your location.

Try BMW mobile mechanic
Wes. (425) 652-0514
He is really good for this. Text him for quotation.
Make sure to order the BMW gaskets before hand. Do not use the aftermarket.

I also have the necessary tools, such as the skinny swivels and Wrenches I can lend you if you want to tackle the job yourself but I’d rather not do it for you. I can lend a hand if you want.

Thanks. I will call the mobile mechanic. Meanwhile, can you please send me a picture or link to the skinny swivel wrench. I looked at housing bolts - they are buried so much inside it’s like doing a surgery😀

Your car is little different. If you have the N52 engine then, you might need to remove the crossbar on the front and the alternator out Of the way. The the pic for skinny swivels At #8 below:

I would definitely give Wes a text for quotation and make sure to get gaskets from Dealer or order the genuine BMW parts online before Wes or anyone get to doing this. Aftermarket parts will most likely premature fail.

If you are tackling this yourself, PM your number and I can lend you the sockets and such.

Garage List
I had my E70 OFHG replaced by Marlon at NW Autowork in Tacoma. Excellent work and more than half the price of BMW.
