Hi - Looking for a reco for a really good detector. Apparently, Ontario cops use radar scanning devices as well, so I need something that can jam or confuse that technology. Any reco's? Also, will need a place to purchase as well as reco's on placement within my 2010 328x.

Are detectors illegal in Ontario?

I also thought good detectors such as the V1 are very well shielded and dont emit any traceable amount of a signal.

check out the beltronics sti good detector and it has a magnesium casing that makes it spectre invisible. good luck

I have a buddy that works for Metro, they will know you are using it. You will be fined and the device will be taken away on the spot.

Well...THAT SUCKS. What if I get a detector that blocks their signal?

I wonder what they do with the devices they confiscate? Maybe I could get a good deal from the copshop?
