You on stock wheels and stock suspension? If so, 285 is too fat for the 9" wheel and your suspension has too much travel. 285s fit, you just need a wider wheel with a stiffer suspension.

If it's rubbing on the inside then your offset is too high and will need spacers. How large of a spacer depends on actual offset. Might need to roll fenders once they're spaced out.

Check your wheels to see if they have an offset listed. Do you know what kind of wheels?

19x10 really shouldn't cause any inner clearance issues unless the offset is greater than +40. Small spacer will fix it, however I can't advise what size without knowing the offset or seeing some pics.

I have 19x10 +40 on mine, but with a 275/30. Does not rub on the inside with Michelin MP4Ss.

What brand/model are your 285s?

I mean I rubbed with 19x9.5+30 and 265/30-19's with the stock sport suspension. I have had Bilstein coilovers for a few years now and I had the fenders rolled so I never rubbed again. But basically stock suspension and even with lowering springs you will rub more because of how soft the spring rates are.
