19" rim that won't crack

I have run some 19" wheels over the last couple seasons. Whenever the unexpected pothole hits a wheel, I get a small crack, usually at the inside edge of the wheel. I've got a great shop for wheel repairs, but it's becoming rather annoying. I've switched to some 18" M series wheels and haven't had a crack since.

Any 19" wheels that have been really durable so I can get the look I want back?

Thanks!

What you're going through is one of the main reasons APEX was started. Although it's true that any wheel will bend or crack given a strong enough impact in just the right spot, there are many things that can be done to prevent it.

Going from 19" to 18" makes a big difference simply due to the taller tire sidewall if you keep the same overall diameter as your 19" setup.

Our 19" SM-10 wheels were created in response to the newer, heavier, and more powerful M cars that are now being used on the track. We nearly doubled the amount of reinforcement of the inner lips to combat this very issue. Take a look:

Our already-strong ARC-8 and EC-7 designs are shown in orange, with our new SM-10 and FL-5 designs shown in blue.
