Is there anyone here in the Springs Area that a E90 with mods? I see tons of BMW's but the 330's seem to pretty rare! lol lmk! Thinkin about doing tons of work to my car during and after deployment that's coming up and would like to get a feel for what I like. Maybe even meet some people with some more knowledge about the car than me.

Not on the e90 side... I met a guy months ago with a silver 330 at a meet and that was it... We have a lot of e36/e34/e46 guys down here.

I'm in the Springs and just got rid of my E90 330i for a 335i. The E90 330i is a great car, but the altitude just kills it. In my personal opinion, if you aren't looking at doing some sort of forced induction, the Powerbox is your best option. It is worth it for the throttle response alone. And I've heard Klove's muffler delete and that sounded awesome. If I'd kept the 330i that would have been on my shortlist too.

Thanks Rich... The powerbox was a great mod. Not to expensive to do. Of course if your looking for huge power gains it would be a lot better to buy a 335 like Rich has.

I <3 my cheap $60 muffle delete mod

Theres a lot more organization over on Bimmerforums.com in the regional section (For Colo Springs). There is no set dates yet for just meet ups. We had our last sonic meet last month. I believe we are trying to set something up one of these weekends. Theres a show at the Doherty hs on the 15th. The Euroberge: Tour de Fall GTG on Sunday the 16th. Theres also a possible DIY meet up in Denver the last weekend of the month.

Well I'm military and plan on getting the ARMA Supercharger. Gave myself a budget of about $25k to completely do the interior/exterior and engine. With everything I've found, I can get around 400hp.

But I'm doing everything. lol I got my car for $10.5k and for what it's worth... I can get awesome HP for the price of a 335i. And the 330xi isn't a very popular car. It was only made for 1 year.

I'll probably finish with less. Engine, suspension and stuff like that first. I'll use whatever is left over to visual effects...

If you going to spend that kind of money, why not go turbo?

Because there isn't a turbo for the 330 E90. The only available thing for my car is the ARMA Supercharger. And for all intents and purposes, I like being different.

"Dear James Gordon,

Our Stage 2 supercharger kit for 330i includes:supercharger, mounting brackets, idler pulleys and accessory drive belt, high-flow air filter, supercharger inlet duct and hardware accessories, fuel management computer (FMC), fuel injectors , by pass valve and intercooler.

You also can link to here to take a look at product’s pictures. http://www.armaspeed.com/eng/goods.php?act=cat&no=22

This is a complete and stable kit. After you install ARMA s/c kit, the horsepower will increase 30%-35%. And we offer 30,000km / 1 year warranty for it. If you also consider to renew your exhaust system, our s/c kit plus full exhaust system can pull more 50% hp out of your car. It will make your car more powerful than you expected.

The MSRP of the kit for N52 is US$7800. Buy full exhaust system as well, it's another package price."

it will be a E46 M3 spanker in a straight line... when you get this, post some 1/4, 0-60 results if you can please.... subscribed!

It might not be available, but we know someone who can build a bad ass looking turbo kit for your car.

Not because I drive a 335....I just simply think it's wiser to buy a 335 and mod it for less. You can sell your car for say 15K, then add the 25K on the mods you're willing to spend. That's 40K.

Basically what you're trying to do is to reinvent a product that has already been invented. Waste of money...

Then, you can buy a 335 for 25K and spend a little $ on the mods to make it fast. You'd still have some money left over.

That's still not the point Alfred... Everyone has a freakin 335... Everyone does the same thing to a 335. I would like you to find me just one person... That's it... That has a 330 E90 with either a Supercharger or a Turbo. Not only that, and even 335 guys will agree, the 330 is a much more reliable car. I'll have a 330xi, engine, exterior, interior, suspension and everything else stupid I want to do to include a new paint job... For a grand total of $35k, car paid off. $25k plus the $10.5k I paid for the car after talking the dealership down $9k. It's pride Alfred... Having something that very few people else have. Having that car that when you pull up to a bimmerfest, people are like... "Wtf!" Anyone who knows E90's, will know that what is done to my car is in fact unique. If you own a 335, you cannot say that. Regardless of what you might say, My car will be finish and paid off for the price of a 335 with ONLY engine upgrades. With pride comes to the drive to be unique.

My car is an absolute beast but it also is an absolute joke as far as reliability goes.
The one chance we had when there was a big news story, well the BMWNA guys outsmarted the media by immediately announcing a recall that essentially meant squat.

Just can't get away from the fact that no matter how reliable you think your TT car will be, it can still have an HPFP go out anytime and leave you stuck.
That alone should be enough to want to stay clear of the turbo models.

I'm pretty content with the idea of a supercharger. Turbo's are awesome! My buddy I live with has a 2008 Tiburon V6 with a Turbo and it has some balls. But not many people Turbo the V6 model of the Tiburon and that makes his car unique when he goes to functions. Like I said in the post above this, it's about the pride a person has in their car and the drive to be unique about their car. Turbo's regardless are just about the same price as a Supercharger once everything is said and done, more if you have to have custom downpipes and support brackets and stuff like that made. Superchargers aren't as common. I'm going to enjoy my project and have something I can say... "This is what I drive at 23 years old."
