2008 BMW 535XI Wagon E61
For Sale is my 2008 BMW 535XI wagon. This car has been my main project for the past few years, and I’ve put a fair amount of money and time into it, but it’s time for me to move on. Current milage: 77,000 miles Basic info: It’s blue Tan interior New rear antenna, you could unlock your car for days! Let’s start with the good: Engine replaced at 67,000 miles (2 summers ago) Rear main seal replaced here too before going back into car New coil packs here Transmission replaced at 67,000 miles Both the engine and transmission were sourced from Bo Auto, with a warranty Came from a 535XI Sedan with near approximate miles on both engine/transmission (65,000 miles) New OEM turbochargers installed last summer Have maybe 1000 miles on them Car has been maintained very well Car goes very fast VRSF 7.5” Race Intercooler VRSF OEM location silicone inlets VRSF charge pipe Genuine HKS Blow-off valve BMS dual cone intakes RB PCV System XHP Stage 3+ Transmission Tune MHD custom tune which I can send you Larger transmission cooler Let’s get to the “needs improvement” section Car was driven over a curb last December at <10 mph, needless to say, the car weighs 4400+ lbs . 4400 lbs at 10 mph creates a situation generating quite a lot of inertia. I had a mechanic take a look at what it needs, here’s the list New oil pan (current one is cracked) Oil pan gasket as well: ($38) Steering rack ($200-600 used market) (was pushed into the oil pan, causing the crack, this definitely needs to be replaced) Front sub frame($200-400 used market) You may not need this but it could prevent further headaches by getting one that you know hasn’t hit a curb, the current one may be bent Control arms/end links ($500-800 new) Front fan ($300) Car has small dent in front passenger side door near door handle, not huge but you can see it in the photos Car had an electronic cutout on it, then the motor stopped working Remedied by replacing the y pipe with a straight pipe, returning it back to “OEM”, or put a new electronic motor and valve on there and you’re good to go Could use a new front bumper Bluetooth doesn’t work any more Don’t get too excited, it never originally worked for music, just calls. Im guessing it needs a new bluetooth module but haven’t had the time to diag. Front sunroof liner could be replaced I have put so much money and time into this really unique car. It’s amazing and so capable, but as I am a student in Boston there’s no need for me to have a car, and as I am working towards graduate and medical school here there’s even less need for me to maintain and insure a vehicle right now. My loss is your gain. Looking for $5k with the current milage. |
