2010 e91 320d engine cranking but not starting after arc ing alternator wire

Hi All
Replaced rocker cover gasket on my e91 today after it dumped oil on the exhaust system. I stripped everything down and in the process disconnected both positive leads thst go to the alternator and accidentally arcd the big wire that sits in the plastic housing on top of then engine against the body.

Fast forward to car now being rebuilt and alternator wires connected. Car will crank and is delivering diesel to injectors but will not start. On the display after cranking for a few seconds the dash display shows airbag warning light then abs warning....

Have i destroyed an ecu or something?

Please help

James

Ok so from reading I think I need to prime the fuel system. Cranking then engine with fuel line to injector 1 and 2 disconnected I am not seeing any diesel come out.

Problem solved. Fuel pump needs to be initiated by diagnostics tool to prime the system. We had to do this 3 times for the car to start. It cranked for ages then finally started.

Injectors re torqued when engine was hot to stop small leaks. Next step test drive.....
