E90 halogen to xenon headlight conversion

I'm doing a halogen to xenon conversion. I'm familiar with what is needed for modifications. The halos should work without wiring. The wiring is so my low beam will work. Right now only my heigh beams and turn signals work. My Halos do not, this is the error codes that I'm getting. I know it won't work if I have some errors codes.

These codes are with xenon

I have a FMR2. All the online repair services are for FMR3. I'm not sure if it can be repaired with software update. I don't trust any shop near me. I ordered a used one with same part number and features. I read that if I do that I don't need any coding.

interesting topic as i am currently in the process doing this conversion myself. i have replaced my frm module with AHL led frm2 module. i have fitted the upgraded bi xenon adaptive headlights to my LCI e90. i had to do some rewiring at the head light plugs and also the frm wiring. all lights are now working. i want to code in my adaptive headlights to work s well as my FLA (high beam assist and RLS which i have retro fitted. all these options are on the replacement used frm module im unsure if i would need to rewrite the FRM module with my chassis number or could i get away with just coding what ever module on my car so all these work . Sorry for hijacking your thread

No FMR2 issue. It turns out my headlights do work. It's just the turn signals don't. The turns signals socket just got hot and was melting. Good thing I'm doing a Xenon conversion. I already installed the Xenon headlights but my angel eyes are not working. Could be just the angel eyes bulbs. I'm going to get some cheap eBay led. It's still cheaper than getting new halogen angel bulbs. I want to get the Lux angel eyes.

I don't care for the adaptive function. The lights can also be adjusted manually. My FMR2 is good. I was just caught off guard that my turns signals in my halogen headlights didn't work and that my angel eyes in my Xenon headlights didn't work. I decided to look at the turn signals light bulb and the connection and plastic was melted. I guess it's a known issue.

Does anyone know the wire gauge for the headlights ground wire? I didn't solder, I use this. The yellow is for 10/12 gauge. That's what I used. My light seem to go off. Do I go smaller 14/16 gauge?

I been doing more research. Are my headlights turning off because I splice pin #2 and #4 together. Is there a better way to do it? Do I need to code my FMR2?

I tried another xenon headlight that I had and the angel eyes work. That solves that issue of the angel eyes not turning on. Now I have to figure out the low beams turning off.

This link is helpful.
Looks like he used a HID error canceller. I don't know which canceller he used since the link he posted for photos doesn't work. Their is a diagram how he wired it. After he did this his angel eyes turn off.

Ok, I turn on the engine and the headlight with the angel eyes did not turn off. I had already ordered new angel eyes lights. I'm thinking of possibilities. The ballast is not good or maybe wiring on the ballast it damaged maybe causing a short. It's a known issue that the wiring insolation goes bad. Maybe to much power goes to the low beams with halos not working.

Installed the new LED AE bulbs. The lights still turn off. Next step is to code my FMR2. It's annoying, according to some YouTube videos no coding is needed.
