Question Low engine oil pressure

Hi
I just tried to start my car it started then it cut off with the error message that there is low engine oil pressure and there may be engine damage, I then tried again and the same thing happened but on the third try it started and didn’t cut out at all.
Could anyone be able to explain what’s going on please.

Scan for codes. And don't start the car again until you figure it out. If it really has no oil px you could destroy the engine.

Did you use a code reader that can read BMW specific codes? A generic code reader won't read every code.
