Northern Meet 5
Back by popular demand apparently! Matt (RagingKileak) and I have put our heads together and come up with a date for Northern Meet 5!
At the moment no firm details have been decided in terms of the drive, but we wanted to put the date out there with plenty of time for people to sign up and book it into their diaries. Things we can confirm: Weekend of 26th -28th July Main drive on Saturday 27th. Evenings based around restaurants and pubs in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Plenty of affordable hotel choices, including a brand new Premier Inn. The previous four Northern Meets have been fantastic social events, with some cracking drives over some of the best roads Yorkshire has to offer. We've been over to Whitby, up into the Dales, around reservoirs and moors and last year took in Richmond, Reeth and the Buttertubs Pass. This year's drive will be equally interesting. Bang your name down if you're up for it! Regards Gav & Matt Some pics of previous Northern Meets...

Done a few drives along those roads in my old Subaru and love to have ago in the BM, although I don't think Il be going quite as fast as I did in the scoob. The Buttertubs is superb so count me in....

Be good to have you along mate but it won't be the Buttertubs. Did that last year. Looking at a good route in Last of the Summer Wine country and beyond though!

Glad the Zed's rump made a cheeky appearance in the preview shots .
As you know, I unfortunately cannot make this years outing due to the QQ+2 being fully laiden on route to the log cabin in North Wales for a family holiday, really gutted but hope you all have a cracker. Anyone waivering whether to attend or not should defo attend. A great weekend, great drives, great food and great company. Bastards for picking that weekend

Numbers vary. Most we've had was about 12 cars, some two up. Drive is usually quick wherever possible but not ridiculous and everyone is encouraged to drive within their own limits and not behave like a cock putting others at risk. Seems to work!

Absolutely right. We always take into account both cars with smaller engines and the wishes of those who want to drive more moderately.
We'll try to keep the convoy intact, but there will also be a lot of stop off and catch up locations which are chosen beforehand. Matt |

Sadly that weekend clashes with a relative's 80th for me, so I won't be able to make it
