A Lotus Evora S/Evora 400/Emira, i honestly do not have a timeline for this but that'd be the only thing that would rip me away from my Z4M

For the daily, its likely a GR86 or Corolla GR if i got my way, if not then likely some form of 4 door or get a older gen 86/BRZ. Odd I do think the new Teg hits a lot of my check boxes. MINI SE would be my pick if i want to get a EV that can handle my daily commute, handle some light duty loads or take my kid to school, but the wife will not approve of it.

For the family car, a Cayenne hybrid, because wife chose it already

Not trying to argue with you but I wonder how gay couples purchase their cars. Seems that on car forums, females always get the inferior model.

What's your view on your "wonder"? I have no information about this.

Which car is inferior in your view, and why? I see them as having different combinations of attributes, neither inferior nor superior to each other. Do you agree?

Depends on the continent. In Europe.. probably AMG A45 S. In North America.. probably E9x M3, but maybe a Macan or Volvo XC-40.

Holy crap! Have the V8 cars really gone up that much in value?

I know it was a few years ago, but when I got my 135i, you could find super clean/low miles E9x with the DCT for around $30k.

oh yeah. clean 2011-2013 LCI with the right options and mileage under 50k are high 40s to 50s. essentially even trade. Individual cars are in the 60-70s. There is a java green with 50k miles asking 63k and similar frozen blue asking 58k. Limerocks are even more.

Thinking about swapping my Golf R for a Supra 6MT once they're available. The M2c isn't going anywhere - that car is with me for the duration.

Ideally something 100% electric. I just bought a B7, there's a very real possibility this is my last ICE car and possibly the last BMW I buy.

Next car? Great question.

Only god knows. But, if I do have a say, I would Lean towards another b58-powered BMW, a Mazda CX-5, an f80 M3 6MT in Imola Red, or a Cayman GTS 4.0. Shock purchase would be an e39 M5.

Not on the radar for another 4-5 years, and that'll be me going from 25 to 30, so who knows how far along I will be in my life and what my priorities will be!

So many on my radar, from V8's, to project cars, but mostly all weekend cars. I've even toyed with the idea of selling my RS5 (for a profit) and buying a commuter car until the market dies down a bit and a nicer weekend car. I still work from home 3 out of 5 days so the need for an expensive daily isn't really there anymore.

I don’t quite understand your logic. I personally drive 70-100 miles per day, so I always take an inexpensive daily and sell it after a year or two. If I mostly worked from home like you, I would drive a better daily because the mileage could be kept low.

It wouldn't be surprising to see you get out of another car so quick given your track record

What types of weekend cars do you have on your list?

My work from home situation could change at any point and I also like the idea of a nice daily as well. If I knew things weren't going to change, I'd buy a manual 911 and call it a day. I'm just conflicted with where I want to put my money on a combo of cars or just keep one that's good at both the daily duties and fun (so far that's the RS5 in my case). Unfortunately I can't afford something amazing for both...well I could but I'd be getting a divorce.

LOL it wouldn't surprise me either, although I'm really really enjoying the combo of RS5 and Q7. For weekend use I've looked at everything from older 911's, Mustangs, F-Type (V8), the new GR86, even some of the "higher mileage" LC500's are coming down in price...higher mileage on those is like 15k miles, C63s Coupe, and a bunch more that I can't think of right now. Basically something that I don't care so much about gas mileage, is fun, and a little more out of my sterile Audi life (not complaining) that I kind of need as a work/life/fun balance vehicle. I also have 3 young kids, so the weekend car doesn't have to be something I need to ever transport anyone in.

So you want a proper toy car? If the prices were not so insane i'd say go the Alfa 4C but jesus H they have jumped 25K in 2 years.

I've no idea where you live but if close enough, we can split the 997 and both save a fortune! Going for a ride today, too nice a day not to drop the top and scope for middle aged woman who look like they'd make great mothers. I kid, know where my bread is buttered.
