I have downloaded the profile FSW PWS MAN from my car to enable digital speed. But when I look into the FSW_PWS.TRC file there is no line BC_DIGITAL_V.
Does this mean that this option is not available for my car or can I add this line by myself to enable it. |

When I want to modify something, for example digital speed. How do I know what selection I must make in the SG ausw window. Is there an list of what CAS, EGS, FRM, KOMBI and etc. means?

The E92's started as a MY2007 car, but they started production in August 2006. That's why they are saying it's a 2007 E92, because that's the official model year of the car, not the physical build year. |

I've heard that TPMS removal is fairly straightforward, in fact I believe it's in the coding spreadsheet that's linked somewhere in this thread. EDC apparently requires modifying your VO so the car doesn't realize it came from the factory with EDC and then some additional coding.

Can anyone tell me, before I screwed up my car, the right procedure to program my car.
Because I’m a little bit confused. When I see the video in one of the first post you download the profile “FSW PSW MAN” select the module where you want to make your changes, make your changes and upload it again. But when I read Junior NCS_DIY.pdf manual you have to do a lot more. You have to go to expertmode edit profile and logon with repxet, do consistency checks and more… And at point 36 to 49 I’m lost totally. So I hope that someone can tell me what the right way is to program the car. Things I want to chance are: Digital speed on cluster. Module: CAS? Digital speed BC_DIGITAL_V aktiv Let the windows go automatically up, when the door is open. Normally you have to hold the button all the time up, till the window is closed when door is open : Module: NFRM TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT nicht_aktiv The front indicators dimmed as sidemarker lamps. I think this should be: Module: NFRM SIDEMARKER_US aktiv |

Digital speed on cluster is in the KOMBI module. The example in the .PDF is incorrect. Here is a good FAQ to read: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480261

Thanks for the answer. I’m going to try this.
In the manual is mention how to make an backup of all settings. But there is no description how to restore it. Is the way to restore all settings of the backup to rename the file to .MAN and then write it back? |

Correct, you take the initial TRC file that's generated when you click Back after loading the FSW PSW MAN profile (it should be about 220 KB), rename it to a MAN file, and click Process Car. Or you can just click Process Car with a blank MAN file and that will restore you to all factory defaults.

You need the Bulb Testing Warning items plus the LED tail light retrofit items listed in the spreadsheet that was linked above.

Thanks for the quick answer. I think I know now about how it works and will try it.
[one day later] And it works But I want the front indicators dimmed as sidemarker lamps. I have changed on module FRM SIDEMARKER_US from nicht_aktiv to aktiv. But nothing happens. What have I to change (more) to get this working? Last edited by E92Ghost; 07-31-2011 at 11:12 AM.. |

Hey guys, seriously considering ordering this cable and getting started on doing my own coding. Just had a question on the functionality.
I've got an '07 E90 328 that was built in 10/06. Will this cable still work since its both DCAN and KCAN? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=220779356111 Or do I need another special one? Tried to search this thread, but had no luck finding anything, so my apologies if this has already been answered. |

I believe this cable will work on your car out of the box (bag )as it did on my 2006 E90. I bought one from the same guy couple weeks ago and I can vouch for him. He is reliable service. Very fast shipping (he is in my area) it only took 2 days and I got the cable. (if you want check out feedback I left him, my eBay is mwilczy) Also, I did mod the cable pin 7and8 to code my cousins E46 (i have some pics for that if anybody needs but also there is already nice tutorial on the forum, that's if you wanted to code older cars) Good luck! |
