ALUFELGEN Wheels | CSL & SF-71 Group Buy

So... it's been about 2 years since the first group buy and we have gotten a lot of inquiries lately from the UK regarding our CSL wheels. Right now we have in stock Metallic Silver, Matte Black, Sports Gunmetal, Titanium and Hyperblack.

Last time shipping came out to be about $80/set (Ocean) for the GBers versus $300-$400/set if shipped individually. We have upgraded our packaging to include foam sheet, dust bag, double cardboard liner and plastic ring and upgraded our boxes from single wall to 275lb double-wall. On top of that every set is shipped in two 22x22x22" cube double-wall boxes for additional protections. Our pallets are now double strapped, and shrink wrapped and fully insured.

19" CS7 available in:
Metallic Silver
Matte Black
Sports Gunmetal
Titanium Gunmetal
Hyperblack

19" SF-71 available in:
Metallic Silver
Diamond Cut Black

So, lets give this another run. We can pack 8 sets per pallet so we would like to do 3 pallets, or 24 sets.

We would like to ship them within 2 weeks so they can arrive in May. Let us know!

Oh hello.
Happy to advertise again?

But absolutely ZERO response to emails when I simply wanted the paint codes to repair them accurately.

I know I'm not the only one on here either.

Lets see....

A search on past experiences would be recommended before purchasing, seems issues were too frequent and slow to be resolved.

Not a single email goes without response. We are working on obtaining touch-up paint since our factory uses internal codes for their paints and they are not part of the PAL system.

We had an issue with our previous shipment being damaged due to improper packaging. That has now been resolved and our packaging has taken a 2-year test and not failed a single time. All the orders that were damaged were sent new replacement wheels. 1 or 2 orders were delayed due to being out of stock. All the customers were taken cared of.

Thanks for looking out!

Good looking wheels.

I've always wondered why no UK stockists though?

How does deal work?

I see that the prices are the same as advertised on US sites.

So there is actually no group buy discount just reduced shipping costs by sending them on pallets rather than individual packages?

If they are sent on sealed pallets who is responsible for then breaking up the pallet and forwarding the packages to the correct address?

How will it work with customs if one sealed pallet is intended for 8 different customers?

Nothing like being economical with the truth is there ??

I think you should say SHIPMENTS not imply just one shipment, and it wasn't just the packaging that was crap, the finish wasn't that brilliant was it !

This is not a bitter and twisted solo rant, I was not the only one in the UK that experienced the above. There are several others who could back-up my statement.

Still as a forum sponsor, no doubt you will get the mods to suppress the truth AGAIN !

This post will disappear.

Maybe you have increased your packing, but I wouldn't want to be a UK "guinea pig", I remember you last packaging assurance "more than enough packaging to get across the pond", and look what happened !

Photos available of their idea of good packaging and paint quality available, just PM me, BEFORE THIS IS DELETED or I am Banned !

Also, shouldn't this be in the "classified" section ???

I think I would be interested in a set of these but I am concerned about reports of shipping damage and the poor finish quality on these wheels.

The shipping sounds like it might be a bit better if the precautions stated by the seller are followed, can anyone else comment on the quality of the finish on these wheels?

Also are there pictures of the different colours and finishes for these?

Ta, great looking wheels. Am I going blind though or does there seem to be little discernable difference between the CS7's and the SF-71's??

The SF-71s have one less 'spoke' and a deeper concave.

I love my CS-7s and I was very fortunate that they arrived undamaged. Just a shame I've managed to scrape all of them since then

Thanks not had a chance to have really close look. So you were one of the lucky ones in regards to shipping. How would you rate the quality of them? Also do you have any pics of them on your car?

Great deal, but I think it would be better if there was a UK Distributor. It would put alot of confidence into the buyer that they have something to fall back on.

I was unfortunately one of the 'unlucky' ones - yes we got replacement wheels (but we had to pay shipping again ourselves so although the wheels were replaced FOC it WAS at a cost to the customer), in fact I had to get 2 lots of replacement wheels as the first set had a crap paint finish.

PLUS points were that the wheels looked stunning once fitted and got many compliments off both enthusiasts and uninformed friends alike.

They balanced up well and were a good quality lightweight wheel in comparison to many other cheap reps out there.

I sincerely hope that the packaging has improved LOTS since the last group buy as it was Alufelgens fault that the damage occured in the first place (I will now prob get a nasty PM like I usually do telling me to keep my nose out!!) - they were wrapped very poorly onto a pallet that collapsed under the weight and strain of a very long freight journey with multiple handlers.

The boxes need to be tougher and they should be wrapped and strapped to a strong pallet.

If this happens I don't see why they shouldn't be a good group buy but do agree with other comments - not really a group buy without any supplier discount - just a shared shipping cost really.

For it to happen, you will need a central person who is happy to handle the whole shipment - pay the customs fees in one go with all the money chipped in by each buyer - they will then need to co-ordinate the shipment/collection of each set of wheels to each member - not a job to be taken lightly as if I remember right, it caused our such forum member a right headache!
