Looking for vacuum attachment for valve cleaning

Looking to purchase or borrow a vacuum attachment from someone in the Charlotte area this weekend. It's the vacuum attachment for the intake valves to do the walnut blasting.

James008 if you didn't get my messages check your PMs. Looking to pick one up today or tomorrow morning so I can do it this weekend.

By the way. I was trying to arrange the walnut blasting in Mooresville and I did get everything needed myself so if anyone is interested in using it so you can do your car let me know.

Don't understand...

You have or need the vacuum attachment and/or wand?
I've been waiting a month for these parts from Tischer and it's driving me nuts! Do you have access to them?

Needed the vacuum attachment. Ended up making my own. Have the wand. Just finished doing mine still have to put it all back together but that will be tomorrow.

Gotcha. If you have time, please take a pic of your built vacuum setup. I have everything I need to perform the cleaning (seals, tools, etc) sans the vacuum adapter and wand.

My car is feeling funny though and I'm quite certain this, along with plugs, will be the fix.

145k all though I didn't have it the whole time. Finished. Definitely a difference you can feel. Post pics later today.

I ended up making my own vacuum attachment for the valves. I bought a couple of attachments from the local Lowe's and some scrap pieces of clear rubber tubing from the plumbing section. The tubing that I found was oval in shape and I cut a section out to allow it to fit tightly into the opening of each intake port. I then drilled a hole in it to allow the blasting wand to go into the intake through the rubber hose. I also got a piece if grey PVC tubing from the electrical section to be able to get down in close to the valves to suck out the remaining walnut shells after blasting them. I also used a blow gun, not pictured, to blow out any debris that I could not get out with the vacuum. I ended up also using carb cleaner and a screw driver and some small pics to scrape away excess carbon that did not come off. Here are pics.


Oval hose with hole for wand

Slit in hose that allows it to compress to go into the intake port

Attached to vacuum with additional connector and another rubber hose section as well as the grey tube

After. Still did some additional scraping with carb cleaner but this is what it looked like after blasting.

Wow... That was dirty! Maybe you do have me beat Lol

Then again, I have a half engine light ATM. I think this has something to do with it. I desperately need this done ASAP! I may copy your setup.

Definitely got rid of the miss and hesitation under heavy acceleration.
