Injectors needing coding?

In the middle of a motor swap on my car. Car is a 2010 E90 M-Sport 335 N54. Donor motor came from a 2010 135i in a rear end accident. I had index 12's replaced by BMW 40k miles or so ago on my old motor, they were working perfectly. Donor motor also came with index 12's, I am looking to remove the donor motors index 12's and sell them and swap mine in from the old motor as I already know they are working perfectly and I believe they do not have as much mileage on them. Would this require coding of the injectors even though it is the same 6 injectors into the same 6 cylinder just into a different long block? Thanks.

Coding takes into account the differences in the injector flow rates.....as long as the same injectors go back into the same cylinders, you are good to go.

Coding injectors is very simple. If you want a good running engine you will code new injectors.

He's going to take the injectors that are already coded in the DME, put them in a new motor with the same DME, put the same injectors back in the same cylinders.......so they will still be coded correctly
