No problem bro, just thought it was funny that a few of us mentioned RB for various catch can stuff. The setup definitely pulls a bunch of oil/vapor from going into my intake tract

I went with the full RB external kit and planned my install to coincide with my valve cover so I could tap and plug the ports at the same time. I went with the Mishimoto CC that he recommends because I wanted to avoid issues and get the most benefit from it all. It was a bit pricy all in, but when considering the benefits, not really.

Did you finish the install? Care to share some pics?
I purchased the same can, with 2 inlets and 1 outlet, but then saw just 1 PCV line on the engine, so thought I ordered the wrong one and ordered the single inlet and outlet one, but when I went back to the post to get ready for the install I see everyone talking about the 2 inlet ones, so I am totally confused now....
Please pardon my pea sized brain and help me understand which one I should use and can both be applied to the N54 interchangeably or not...
Thx

No.. unfortunately I haven't had time to do the install yet. Honestly, I need to do some more research. I really haven't found the best way to install it.......

This is the proper way to install a catch can on the N54(on the low side, where most oil/vapor will be trapped). To properly install you will need an external PCV valve also. RBturbo kit with a mishimoto catch can is the best setup, so follow that.

^That's what I followed, super simple. I was just screwing with a clean catch can location and mounting it but RB sells custom brackets for stock strut bars

Only RB has it I'm pretty sure. The other stuff I guess you could piece together..

VTT and Acfab sell the fitting by itself. The rb kit is a little overpriced IMO, you can build your own kit for less than half.

Yeah, at this point I guess I just need the external PCV valve, or the "PCV Delete Fitting" according to what AcFab calls it. I have everything else.

RB's exteral PCV/catch can setup is like the go to design/setup that most everyone uses for N54's
its soo expensive tho for just a set of tubes and a little container. I hate these types of mods because I can never decide whether or not they are worth the money relative to how little they provide. Like my car has 130k miles and i have had no trouble of the carbon residue on my valves, yet. And if I do, I buy the things necessary for walnut blasting which cost less than the fricking plastic tube and just clean my valves lasting for another 150k miles. Thats just my take though.

Nope...after talking to Rob (RB Turbo), I've been running the OEM PCV setup....new VC, new flapper valve, RB PCV valve. I'm running RB two's at around 25psi boost....car runs like a top, doesn't use any oil, and the PCV setup does what it's supposed to do. At this point....a healthy OEM PCV setup seems to be working great.
