Road works beware with low profile tyres

I have 19" rims on my 325i which both fronts have dents I recently discovered.

I remember the exact location of where this occurred. Adelaide has a lot of road works underway ATM.

The morons laying the road left approx a 2" height difference after an intersection which I hit without warning at 60kph after leaving a read light. So not speeding at all. On impact I thought that had to cause damage so pulled over to check. I saw no obvious damage so didn't think anymore of it. the next day they put in a fillet so "fixed" the problem.

Recently I've had to pump up my front left on a weekly basis with no obvious puncture. I took it to a tyre centre to find both front rims dented on the inside where I could not see. I immediately knew what had happened. It was the only impact I had had. But 12 months earlier.

Now I tried to get this compensated but the company refuses to recognise the problem.
I'm now up for 2 new rims. Rolling them is pointless if at all possible?

Is this worth trying to claim under insurance? Anyone had any similar issues?

I've flat spotted rims before. You can get them repaired, it depends how fussy you are.

$185 per rim and 2 weeks. Rather just buy new ones
