Hi,

I too have a similar issue where the back up camera only works the first time. I got my emulator for autofocustech. I've double checked all wiring, everything's good as the new back up camera screen comes on and off almost instantly when switching in and out of reverse, the only problem is that the camera doesn't come on after the first shift into reverse exactly as others have described. I too have the C08 cic version.

Has anyone managed to figure out how to fix this problem?

I have a 2011 E91 3.20d LCI, factory pro NAV CIC and both front and rear PDC. I was looking at retrofitting a rear camera, so have been reading through the threads.
Bought a Chinese camera and emulator and wired into quadlock loom in ref to ‘’E90 Rear Camera wiring diagram model rev1C’’ as posted here and the coding as said. However, no image showing when I put in reverse.
First connected the camera RCA plug to pin 28 (-) and pin 18 (+) for EU version then tried pin 24 (-) and pin 21 (+) but no success. It didn’t work.

What is wrong?
Any ideas?

UPDATE: After connection to provide power of 12 V, problem was solved.

You need your cic module updated to CIC.C1A, that'll do it.

I have E91 2011 with CIC and PDC (front and rear): to retrofit reverse camera, can you confirm I have to add new wiring between reverse camera and dash?

Do you have suggestion to buy best reverse camera?
