335xi transmission mount help

So just got some work done on my car, the mechanic told me my transmission mount is pretty much gone. I want to do the work myself and the job doesn’t seem too involved. It’s just the one mount I need to replace. Does anyone know of a good trick in popping the old mount out and pressing the new mount in?

I’m also going to fill my mount with 3m weld to stiffen up the whole thing.

Thanks!

You're crap out of luck. pull the whole thing out and replace clutch and rear main while at it.

There are tools for the mount that are aftermarket but I don't think they work well and probably take too much time with a jack in the middle to support the transmission weight.
Sometimes it's worth it to play labor and do multiple stuff at once, like going to a single mass flywheel made for OE clutch, replacing guibo aka flex disc, etc that are on the way out as well.

It pays to replace stuff when you can, like brake lines while doing calipers. Takes more in labor in vs parts.
