Running 265 on a 19x10
Just had a long but informative conversation with Dan at ModCity about
DPE R07s. They don't make them in a 19x9.5, just 19x10. Is it just me or does a 265 just not look right on a 19x10? Agree/Disagree/Suggestions? |

It depends, it leaves a lot of rim showing but some guys like the streched look. I had my offsets made to allow a 275 later on after the 265 wears down.

I won't do 265s. You will have a stretched look and you won't have very much rim protection from the tire.

Usually the recommended tire width is, 1" bigger or smaller from the rim width. Personally, unless you go with something super insane, you really shouldn't have a problem. And I have seen some pretty good stretch on wheels in my time, and they run just fine.
It is actually even recommended to not run an oversized tire on a rim/wheel. If you talk to the right people, they will even tell you that you should have a *slight* stretch in the tire sidewall, for the best performance. |
