I was told by BMW the TCU unit needed for my BMW to be able to use my phone inside the car is part # 84.10 9181230. However I cannot find the part unless I go to BMW. I called another dealership and the part number did not match the one provided. The rep would not tell me part number unless purchased from him. My question is how do I know what TCU will fit inside my car?

BMW charges $260 to code and they told me if I purchased a module that was not for my specific car, it could or could not be coded. I didn't want to take a chance but can any module go inside my car...I see a lot on ebay for E60 and bluetooth modules that come out of 06 325i E60. Will this work for my vehicle? If you know a good site to purchase one please send link. Help is much appreciated.

if its going to cost more than 500 installed
You might consider a Dension gateway 500s bt
As that would give you bluetooth music , usb/ipod and phone
or if you didn't want to streaming music you could get one
of the older units for about 100 less.
