I dislike wheel-mounted paddles, so I FIXED them.
I apologize if I offend anyone especially owners who think BMW designers and BMW engineers are infallible gods.
I have a 2008 E90 335i which came with those awful push/pull shiters (I mean "shifters") which I can never operate properly, find on turns nor grope out in windy roads. In frustration I upgraded to column-mounted paddles. They use M3/F80 "pull only" paddles mounted stationary just behind the wheel where I can always find them. From XPaddles.com (15% FB discount so less than $300 for the complete kit). I love them! They add a new dimension to brisk driving. Check them out. |

Would be cool to see how you mounted them and what that all looks like.
Personally, I don't get why everyone talks down the stock shifters. I like them just as they are and have no trouble finding/using them. |

Cuz race car, duh
But I would totally get the Pedal Haus ones if I had a DCT the black/yellow ones for sure. I like their pedals a lot https://ind-distribution.com/product...hifter-paddles

And for $300 for the complete kit, fun factor alone--I cannot stop grinning. And yeah, wirings could easily be hidden or covered, just use your imagination and creativity: think wire sleeves. BMW is about the driving experience, not "Wiring exposed on the back side" of the steering wheel, who looks there while carving a hill? Function over form, baby! Substance over fashion! Fun over "just not feelin' it"! And 3d printed or not, the holder is ingenious like Nelson's but more engineered and thought out. I see your valid points and I feel very different about them. Let's learn to disagree. |

If you were on the track or driving prettt fast
Shouldn't the paddles move with the steering wheel to make them easier to find... and i can see those paddles getting in the way when you are turning the steering wheel fast , they are so big that i can see you hitting it somehow at some point and maybe even breaking them. |

The paddles dont move with steering wheel. But you can just put car in drive if your girls in the car.. Only time i ever use paddles is when logging a pull.. Never seen any other use out of them but i only drive on the street..
But i like the stock look. |
