I want to so get one of these - but doesn't it "throw a code"? I really don't want to take my new car into the dealer for say new brake pads and have them ask what the hell have I been doing to my car from reviewing the codes - unless they really have no reason to "check" for crap like that for freaking brakes or whatever...This is my first BMW - so guys, help me out...how big of a "deal" is it if this DP throws up a code??

It really depends on the dealer, in most cases they care pretty anal about this kind of stuff. I highly recommend getting the downpipe with a BT scan tool or pulling the trigger on the Procede because its already integrated in there. I drive out of my way to find a dealer that is "somewhat" mod friendly. Ask Robert@Vishnu and he can help out |

Good advice - since this is my first BMW, I guess I'm too "nervous" about messing with the mod bug and then getting screwed somehow with the dealer if something ever goes wrong. Arrghhhhhhhhh. My infiniti G35 Coupe - I've modded the heck out of and the dealership never said word one to me - but I guess that's like comparing apples to oranges. Maybe I can buy this DP and wait until my warranty is up and then slap it on...but who wants to wait a few years to enjoy the mod bug....Thanks for the tips guys!
