HELP! Calling on everyone from the BMW community
Its a long story but i'm gonna go straight into - I have an E90 n43 2009 320i
On the way home from work yesterday on the motorway car started misfiring badly, i pulled over on the hard shoulder turned engine off and tried to restart as this has resolved this previously. However this time the idle was beyond rough the revs kept dropping until the car cut out. I tried this a few times same thing happens, however i noticed if i kept my foot on the accelerate pedal the car would drive but would cut out if let the revs drop. Called a recovery truck and waited 6hrs! Car is currently in indy garage (non BMW specialist) who said they will take a look next week, got a feeling they're just gonna go down the standard spark, plugs, coils etc but misfire on one cylinder i suspect isnt enough to make the car stall all the time is it? I've connected it to INPA this morning and pulled all the codes and given below so if anyone has been through this or can advise to help me resolve would be much appreciated. 30EA - cat converter sulphur levels - this has been present for a year 2EF8 - thermostat - this has been present for a year 2CFB - throttle/throttle valve adaptation 2D09 - throttle valve 2A0F - exhaust gas re-circulation valve, adaptation 29CE - cylinder 2 misfire 29D9 - combustion failure at low tank level May be relevant - I installed a NOx sensor (2nd hand - must be working cos all the NOx codes i use to get are now gone) this past Saturday and deleted all adaptions and reset values for every sensor and component available. However it drove normally for 4 days until yesterday. |
