2" Inlets OEM position Rear positioning

I'm trying to install VRSF 2" Inlets. Does the rear outlet come out:
 1. Above and to the right of the bolt
 2. Left and below the bolt
 3. Remove the bolt

My first attempt put it left and below the bolt but I couldn't get it to line up with the turbo inlet.

TIA

Seconded. Here's a pic of what I did, I know it's not the final position but it's closer.
HIGHLY recommend not removing the bolt.

I've watch both of his silicon inlets videos; both the small and the 2" versions. Unfortunately in neither video does he say or show if he went above the bolt or below the bolt. The Vargas instructions just skip over that too.

alpnwss, your picture didn't survive. I found that you have to create a gallery here in e90post.com and then add the picture to include it. Seems a reasonable response to the whole Photobucket fiasco

thx

mweisdorfer, he installs the 2" VRSF oem location intakes during his DA turbo install video.

Here is where he installs the 2" inlets...

Here is where he connects them to the turbos...

Yes, Jeef. The smaller tranny e-torx bolt right in the middle of my picture.

Your reasoning seems solid so I'll give that a go!

Thx

I ~think~ that's just the very end diameter. They should be 95% similar with a varying end diameter (0.25in taper).

If you are having trouble getting that thing on, try to jack the motor up a little, remove the motor mounts, let the motor down...and that should provide you with more room to maneuver them. I learned this wrestling with them when I replaced my motor last summer. Sounds like a lot of work, but really, it isn't, and its a lot quicker than the "stare and swear at it until it fits" method.

Wow wish I had seen this when I was shopping for Inlets. Definitely feel better I went with RBTurbo. I haven't noticed any collapsing.
