Keep TPMS or not?

Need a help.

I have a base 2006 325i that has 16inch rims. Recently I got hold of 18inch 193M rims with TPMS on the rim.

Should I remove TPMS sensor when I install tires on 193M as I believe 06 325i does not need one (it has FTM) Or If I keep those on the rims would it cause any balancing issues?

TIA

Obviously it wont cause balancing issues, why would it. FTM uses wheel rotation to monitor for a flat so no you would not need the sensors. Although you might as well leave them on, since you will have to pay a shop to take them off, if the tires are mounted on the wheel... And you would probably need a new set of valve stems.

Thanks..reason I asked is because it is an extra set of mass on the wheel.

Hopefully the tireshop wont refuse to install 18 inch as car came with 16 inch wheels !

LMAO. Dude you can easily put 19s on that car. The E90 came with 16,17, 18, 19 inch wheels. So if a shop say they cannot install it then thank them for their time, slowly turn around and walk away because you are obviously dealing with some geniuses there.

The wheels would have been balanced in mind that the sensors are installed. All BMW cars now uses TPMS and none of us have any issues.
