Help with Air /Fuel

Hey guys just curious to know how other n54 dynojet fuel graphs look like. I'm running really lean even though i have meth. I was hoping its a dynojet problem but other cars that were tested on it are accurate.

Does running the probe after the cat affect the mixture by a big margin???

How about minor exhaust leaks???

I'm fully modded and don't want to blow things up quite yet. There are no fault codes from my bt scans.

Can a bad o2 sensor not come up as a fault?

I would email Terry! He's very helpful and can help read the dyno data to give you an idea of what's happening or is possibly happening!

What readout are you looking at? IMO the Dynojet WB SUCKS. Especially if not meticulously maintained.

How lean? DI cars run much leaner than standard injection cars.

+1 on how lean? You can expect to be 1 to 2 points higher afr than normal port fuel injected turbo cars you've seen. Do a search. I couldn't believe how lean the n54 runs WOT.

At a minimum post up your dyno charts with the air/fuel ratios so we can see if they look normal or not. I really doubt you are running lean with methanol unless there is a primary O2 sensor problem. Ever run leaded or questionable gas?

Running that lean especially at high RPMs is not good for the engine especially when its making that much power and using Methanol....puzzling thing is why? I think you need to speak to Terry about this because not too many people are using the TURBO melter map, I think thats what Terry used as a reference for this map, but I can be wrong, but he is your best bet to ask for some help..

Terry's helping me out but its Sunday and he has family so i don't want to break his balls with emails. There is tons of knowledge on this forum which may give me direction. Who knows my car may be running fine and i may be paranoid. I know from my dyno numbers I'm not making the power others are, so i figure its a fueling issue. Maybe the dyno reads low.

It doesn't look that lean to me, but let us know what Terry's opinion is on it.

I agree with you down low, but up top, that is LEAN.
Especially getting that much power.

Terry doesnt like how lean im running so he recomended changing a risistor on the JB3. Before i do anything i will add an air/fuel bung before my cats and do some more pulls. Even on Sunday he looked at my logs abnd dyno graphs. Good guy. I guess he knows what it feels like to spend all this cash on your car and its not running right.

It's likely protecting itself from detonation by pulling timing. It has to detect knock though before pulling the timing. Not good.

running the o2 sensor probe after the cats does not matter as long as they allow the catalysts to stabilize before the pull...
