325D Auto Box issue
Good Afternoon All,
I'm having issues with my E90 325d and I'm unsure of whether its something I can fix myself or its beyond my ability and I have to take it to an Autobox specialist. The Issue. If I put my foot down gear changes are fine from setting off 2nd, 3rd, 4th, but when in 5th as the car reaches the high end of the rev range it hesitates, at which point I take my foot off the gas then it changes up to 6th. If I drive it normally I have zero issues, now I don't always drive it sedately and I do like to give the car the occational beasting (always when warm) but this issue has made me reluctant to drive it remotely quick. Car details. BMW E90 325D Auto (2993cc) Remapped (Superchips - Bluefin 256hp 383ft-lb) 78k If anybody can help me out Id be extremely greatful. Kind Regards Mike |

Also I'll add, I've had it hooked up to BMW factory software and there are no hide error codes.

Has it ever changed up to 6th?
6th gear is more than likely an overdrive ratio aimed at cruising and economy, so acceleration would probably decrease if the box changed up. The gearbox map is probably programmed not to use 6th when accelerating hard. |

Its been mapped for 2 years and its gone into 6th issue free in the past. So just clear this up for me you're saying a 3 litre 6cylinder car isn't going to use 6th gear unless its cruising?

Maybe consider another service or speak to a gearbox specialist. My gearbox doesn't do that from what I remember
