Took my M3 spoiler off....

And theres a ton of residue underneath it, obviously i expected this but I'm not too sure how to remove it. I heated the glue and got the big strips off but theres still some glue left. Any suggestions?

Continue using the heat gun and then use Goof-Off. It works like a charm, just be careful what you use to scrub because you can scratch your paint. I'd recommend just a microfiber cloth or something just slightly more abrasive.

Goof off? I thought that would take the clear coat off? I was thinking about using a fine scratch remover type wax, thoughts?

EDIT: Im actually gonna start off by washing my car tomorrow I'm hoping that'll pull most of it off.

YMMV but I've been going to town on the leftover strips of 3M automotive adhesive left on the underside of my removed carbon fiber performance spoiler and am having a hell of a time getting ANY of it off. I have both Goof-Off and Lift-Off and a hairdryer on hand and nothing seems to be working more than just rubbing until my fingers hurt. I'm wondering if there is any other product that may be better suited for it. I've seen that 3M makes their own adhesive remover?

Two questions:
1. Why'd you decide to remove it?
2. Are you selling it?

Sorry to be a vulture, but it's pretty much impossible to find Monaco Blue parts on here.

Try rubbing alcohol. Remember, like someone said above, don't start rubbing too hard in one spot, if it generates enough heat/friction, you'll burnish the clearcoat and begin to damage the paint.

We removed the spoiler off a friends 335 the other day.. Using rubber gloves, we managed to force the material into balls, and using rubbing alcohol to break it down made it relatively easier to bunch up. Takes time.. Just give it a good polish afterwards and wax to protect the paint!
Good luck

I used 3M Adhesive Remover in the spray can. It's safe to use on cars and whatever else. IMHO, the best to remove double sided tape residue.
