What would be the difference between something like this (what I have atm):https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and your mentioned FireFly product
At the end of the day aren't these products all going through the aux connector, so I am thinking they would experience the same bottlenecks in terms of quality and fidelity. From what I have seen on this forum and my own experience the aux gives the worst quality whereas radio and CD sounds about 10 times better ps. I have an aftermarket audio system so the quality drop @ aux is a lot more noticable |

If it's an android device then you're SOL EDIT: I am a liar. Controls work, but display wont show what's playing. See below. Last edited by mazza2590; 04-09-2017 at 09:59 AM.. |

I wanted to give you all a summary of my Tunai Firefly experience.
I purchased mine via Amazon on 3/2/17. It arrived in a couple of days after that. When I opened the box up, i was impressed with the build and appearance, especially in the 12v adapter with two USB outlets in different amperages and a nice brushed stainless steel appearance. Unfortunately the 12v adapter did not work. The seller addressed this for me by providing a $5 credit to my Amazon account and was very prompt in their response. Apparently, they have had issues with several adapters. The Firefly unit worked great, despite my phone's reluctance to pair. Sound quality was excellent and that was before i installed my musicarNW upgrade. Fast forward about 20 days when we were on a road trip last weekend. I was unable to pair my phone so I ignored the Firefly and connected via aux input. Later in the trip, I tried the Firefly again and it wouldnt work, so I decided to try a different USB power outlet on my charger. When I grabbed the Firefly to remove it, it was hot to the touch. Looking closer or, rather, feeling closer, the unit was so hot that it probably would have burned my fingers had I held it. Obviously, I unplugged it and set it aside. I contacted the seller and they are sending me a replacement, which is a testament to their commitment to great customer service. I just wanted to put this up in case anyone else might have the same problems or at least to remind you to check yours periodically. |

Did you already have the OEM Y cable before buying this? And will your phone connect to both the car bluetooth for phone calls, and the WMA3000B for audio? or is it all going to come through the WMA? ...I guess, does it matter? Last edited by mazza2590; 04-09-2017 at 11:00 PM.. |

Went with the Rocketfish APT-X bluetooth adapter about 2 months ago; and all was great. Now out of no where I'm getting a lot of static and crackling in the speakers. If I take the adapter out of the equation and plug Aux directly into phone, everything sounds fine.
Anyone else ever run into this? |

You can get a Q-tip & damp it slightly with alcohol and clean the ports |

Didn't think of that. Usually when something goes wrong, my mind goes immediately to something faulty with the processing or some other internal system board. Didn't cross my mind to swab out the aux port on the adapter. Will try that tonight and report back.
I think the cable is fine. No issues when plugged directly into phone. |

Thank you for this thread! I bought a Tunai Firefly and took it with me when I went to buy my E90; it was the first thing I connected after exchanging money for keys and a title.

Anyone know if the various BT audio streaming devices in this thread work in conjunction with JB4 mobile? Will my iPhone 7 have issues connecting to both at the same time? Looking at the Firefly in particular

I'm going to order one on Amazon though, I would like to purchase it direct since some other users experienced issues and had to be sent replacements.

Yes, the phone connects to both (car for phone and WMA300B for audio). When listening to music and you get a call, the music will fade out and the call will go through the car and after it ends the music will fade back in. Its pretty seamless. |

Reason i asked about the Y Cable was that i already have one for my iPod, so i was curious if i should go for the version (WMA1000?) that is just the adaptor, or the WMA3000B which has the Adapter built in to the cable - Wait, it is built in to the cable right? |

Just got the kinivo, it's pretty good. But make sure you have ur phone at about 70% vol or so, too high and it distorts.

how do these external bluetooth audio devices connected to the aux port compare to a combos retrofit as far as sound quality goes?
I currently run the rocketfish and so far so good, but just curious of the comparison between an external device vs a combox retrofit. |

Update - Turned down the volume on my phone to 50-70% using the firefly. The quality got a lot better at that point. Its still not Aux quality or the "AMAZING" quality that people are reporting but its definitely clear enough to work for me.
