Hi guys, I'm just wondering what setup people have with the Dinan catback exhaust, and whether they're happy with it.
Which downpipes? Catted or not? Do you still have the secondary cats? Any resonators? Any rasp? Manual or automatic? This question is only for E92 with N54, as other setups sound very different. Thanks a lot, Ron |

Dinan Exhaust with non cat downpipes, everything else stock on the exhaust. I really don't like it. 07 e92 with Manual Transmission. I get rasp and to me it sounds rice. It wasn't too bad before the downpipes, decent sound but very tame. Now its a little louder but with rasp and a lil drone.

I don't hear any rasp or drone. But I feel that the resonators are cancelling some of the characteristics of the Dinan exhaust. I barely hear any burbles. It's nice, but it's mostly one tone. I'm trying to find out if it's a good idea to put the secondary cats back in place. I'm worried about the first gear rasp. |

Maybe because you don't have catless DPs. |

Edit: I think it's a combination of Catted downpipes and dinan exhaust that removed the rasp. |

It is probably a mix, although your DPs should be less restrictive right than OEM cats? |

Also, some people have automatic transmission, and they don't hear it as much. |

It is very raspy around 5k RPM so I wanted to replace second cats with resonators. Yes I'm manual. |

If I were to do it again with my IS, I would have gotten resonated downpipes, and left everything after stock. |

At least with my resonators my pops will be louder. Rasp is not bugging me a huge lot. I might do full straight exhaust in the muffler box then to if it doesn't fix. |
